The Hub, serves as center stage at the Magic Kingdom, and is the spot where every direction you look is gorgeously dripping in Walt Disney World decor. Cinderella castle sits at the helm, and bicycle-spoke like walkways lead the way to each land. This Hub was the idea of Walt Disney himself; he wanted a central location for guests to be able to meet and have easy access to each of the lands. It’s been upgraded over the years to hold more guests, especially during fireworks shows. Recent additions include spots featuring artificial grass and an area for Fastpass+ holders to view the fireworks shows. Parades also make their way through the Hub. You can take a break and watch iconic characters dance and sing as they parade past.
Also featured are misting fountains and bronze statutes of Disney characters. Floral gardens, sculpted topiaries in the form of famous Disney characters, and the castle backdrop make for great photo opportunities. Along the outside of the Hub, both Casey’s Corner and The Plaza eateries gained extra seating with the recent upgrades as well. You can relax and have a bite to eat with a fantastic view. Looking for a nearby sweet treat? Try The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. Want to enjoy a meal with Pooh and Friends? Head to The Crystal Palace for a buffet meal. Last but definitely not least, don’t miss most famous feature of the Hub: the Partners Statue. Sitting directly in front of Cinderella’s Castle is the statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse holding hands while looking to the future . Under the statue is a plague the reads: “Partners – We believe in our idea: a family park where parents and children could have fun – together.”
